Our Mission

“It’s a vibrant, creative, supportive community and a great centre for my business.”

We develop and manage workspace for enterprise, creativity and culture. Bootstrap is a home to a buzzing and diverse community of over 300 creative businesses, social enterprises and charities. Providing high quality and managed workspace is at the core of what we do. We offer a range of different spaces from desk spaces, to small and medium-sized studio spaces. A wide mix of tenants makes Bootstrap a really exciting place to be. We are home to everyone from charities to music producers, filmmakers to start-up social enterprises.

Enterprise Support

We provide support for tenants to be socially enterprising and grow into sustainable businesses, contributing to the wider community. The first rule of being sustainable is to be financially secure! Bootstrap is a nurturing environment for entrepreneurs to connect, create and grow. We support enterprises by providing business support, running training and networking events and promoting tenants’ work. We engage all our tenants in our projects to have a positive impact for the wider Hackney community.

Training & Employability

We increase people’s skills and access to fulfilling employment by providing enterprise and employability training, and access to our network. We leverage our community to run skills and training events for the local community to connect with Bootstrap tenants and our wider networks. Bootstrap Campus is flagship project to provide a space and structure for local 16-24 year-olds to connect and learn from Bootstrap tenants through workshops and work placements.

Events & Community Spaces

We run exciting and diverse events that provide space to create, connect and have fun. We love Hackney’s mixture of people and buzzing energy. We also love running positive events to bring together these different communities and interests. Our events range from film nights to high-profile album launch parties; charity fundraisers to supporting young people to put on their first-ever events.
