Bootstrap Charity manages and provides workspace for startups, social enterprises, charities and small businesses. We offer support to our tenants to grow into sustainable businesses and to be socially enterprising. We empower young people by arming them with skills, knowledge, tools and a network to succeed professionally.

Bootstrap was established in 1977 to support people to set-up their own businesses and improve employability skills.
We manage over 60,000 square foot of workspace on Ashwin and Abbot Street in Dalston, Hackney. We let studios at the current market rate to a mix of tenants, from small businesses and creative and social entrepreneurs to charities and start-ups.
Bootyard is a pioneering project to turn a neglected car park, at the rear of the Bootstrap buildings, into a new start-up space for social businesses and community activities. It is currently home to 40FT Brewery and The Dusty Knuckle Bakery.
Print House Gallery is an intimate and exciting gallery space in the heart of Dalston. Our aim is to showcase a mixture of emerging and established contemporary artists across a variety of artistic mediums.
We offer practical support to our tenants with business development, subsidised rent, free event spaces, and fundraising. We offer a series of programmes for young entrepreneurs that want to develop their own businesses and social enterprises.
