In March, the Print House Gallery offers you the chance to buy original children’s illustrations in a good cause. The artworks for sale have been generously donated by a range of artists (Jane Ray, Caroline Holden-Hotopf, Katharine McEwen, Marcia Williams, Petr Horacek, Sue Heap, Catherine Anholt, Patrick Benson) in aid of Help Refugees and Refugee Women's Association. Based in this building, Refugee Women's Association works to empower refugee women by helping them with advice, employment and training in the UK; Help Refugees goes where the need is greatest and is currently on the frontline in Calais, Greece and Syria. We hope you’ll enjoy the show and dig deep for these two great charities. Join us for the private view on Friday 6th March from 6pm to 9pm.
Join us for the Private view of "Transitional Oddities", a co-produced project, between curator Lowe H Seger and photographer Ian Faranda. Transitional Oddities is a simple and beautiful collection of photographic prints using a raw approach to execute the relationship between objects and subjects, all to enhance the oddness in this transitional city in which we are often too busy to see or experience. Please enjoy Ian's first-step into a massive world of future explorations – this work will never get old, it will only become more and more relevant with time. At the Print House Gallery, from 6pm to 9pm.
Tamara Stoll invites you to the launch of her book 'Ridley Road Market' on Thursday 12th December, from 6-9pm at the Print House Gallery. "When I first walked Ridley Road with my camera, I was living just a few minutes from the market. I kept returning to it for eight years. This book, of narratives recorded in the market, of materials I collected and those donated to me alongside my own photographs, attempts to piece together what it is that makes this place unique.", she says. Ridley Road trader Sonya is going to brew some hot punches, there'll be patties, borek and bagels and her good friend DJ Danso will be playing music. You will also be able to buy a copy of the book or collect your book there if you have pre-ordered it. Hop to see you there!
